About Marilu:

Marilu Lopez (María Guadalupe López Flores, a Mexican U.S. Citizen born in Los Angeles, California, but raised in Mexico City from age 4) dedicated over 30 years to corporate life in the financial sector before becoming a Data Management consultant and trainer. She pioneered the Enterprise Architecture practice in Mexico, which led her to focus on Data Architecture and, from there, expand her practice to Data Management, specializing in Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Quality Management. Through decades she suffered the lack of a holistic and comprehensive Data Strategy. Her passion for Data Management has moved her to dedicate her volunteer work to DAMA International with different roles, from the president of the DAMA Mexico Chapter to VP of Chapter Services.
